Daniel Klose (born 30 October 1979) is a professional German darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events.

History

Klose qualified for his first PDC European Tour tournament in 2019, when he qualified for the 2019 European Darts Grand Prix, but he lost in the first round to Keegan Brown. In November 2020, he qualified as one of three players for Super League Darts 2020, where he reached the quarter-finals. In his second Super League participation the following year, he was eliminated in the preliminary round. He was subsequently unable to win a Tour Card at the PDC Q-School and went on to play the PDC Challenge Tour 2022, where he reached the quarter-finals in January and July and the semi-finals in September. In March 2022 Klose made his debut on the PDC Pro Tour when he took place as a substitute player for the Players Championships. In November, he again took part in Super League, where he narrowly lost 7:8 in the semi-finals to eventual winner Florian Hempel.

In 2023 Q-School of darts he won a two-year Pro Tour card. He made the first PDC final of his career at the 21st Players Championship event of 2023 in September, losing to Gerwyn Price. After Max Hopp, Gabriel Clemens, Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko, he was the fifth German to reach the final of a PDC professional tournament. In September 2023, Klose managed to qualify for the 2023 World Series of Darts Finals via the Tour Card Holder Qualifier. He lost in the first round 3-6 to Krzysztof Ratajski. As 54th seed he qualified for 2023 Players Championship Finals, at his debut he lost with Ryan Joyce 3-6 in the First round. On November 27, 2023, he took part in the "Tour Card Holder Qualifier", the last opportunity to qualify for the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship. He only just missed out on his World Championship debut when he lost 5:7 to Darren Webster in the final.
